The Why

The caravan community has been a consistently growing group of people for many years in Australia. However, purchasing a van is a huge investment and it can be difficult to keep track of all the components that need to be maintained. The MyVan app takes that headache away. It tracks kilometres driven and notifies users when items require maintenance and converts them to expenses.

What we did

The MyVan app allows users to keep full control of their caravan maintenance. During setup, the app asks users to enter all the details about their van, including kilometres driven. Users are then able to start setting up maintenance items that are sorted in a timeline and can be categorised as being due by date or by kilometres. Each maintenance item, upon being addessed, can be converted into an expense to enable efficient financial management. To further simplify caravan monitoring, the app also allows users to track trips with GPS. The trips contribute to the total kilometres driven and will trigger a maintenance notification it surpasses the distance required.
